Box welded pond liner cost guide UK

What affects the price, what to budget, and why a box-welded liner represents excellent value over its lifetime.

What affects the price?

Three factors drive the cost of a box-welded liner: the overall surface area (which determines how much pond liner material is used), the material thickness, and the complexity of the shape.

  • SizeThe larger the liner, the more material is required. Cost scales broadly with surface area.
  • Thickness0.75mm standard grade is less expensive than 1.0mm heavy duty. Both carry a 25-year guarantee.
  • Shape complexitySquare and rectangular liners are the most economical to manufacture. L-shapes, stepped designs and bespoke shapes involve more complex cutting patterns and additional welding time.

How to get a price

We don't publish a price list — every liner is made to individual dimensions and priced accordingly. The fastest way to get a price is to use our quote form. We respond same working day with a price and a technical drawing for your approval.

Value over time

A box-welded liner costs more upfront than a flat sheet alternative. Over a 25-year lifespan, the premium is modest — and you avoid the labour cost of re-lining, the frustration of recurring maintenance issues at fold points, and the appearance of a creased liner.

Frequently asked questions

The cost depends on the size, shape and material thickness. A small square liner starts from around £80–£120. Larger koi ponds and commercial projects are priced individually. Contact us for a quote — we respond same working day.
